We've all heard the way cryptocurrency is decentralized no one can control or manipulate it until now....
The 51% attack was part of a story in the silicon valley American comedy television series, but this is now reality and there are indications that Bitcoin gold is being taken over. Just as directors of companies like to have at least a 51% share of the company so that they can control the business the true can be said for cryptocurrencies. If someone is able to get more than half the compute power behind the blockchain it can then control how transactions are processed. This is bad news for the smaller crypto's that may not have a large enough following and can be easily taken over. This is a real wake-up call for all those smaller Alt Coins out there.
