As reported by The Verge the Marshall Islands have switched from US dollars to their own cryptocurrency. As far as we know this is the first country(?) to adopt cryptocurrency almost forcing other financial institutions to work out how to accept payments like this. Dollars will still be accepted on the Island but going forward it will be interesting to see how this will work. Lets wait and see but the future will be interesting....
